Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth

The PMNW team visited Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth for the first time. From the minute we arrived we received a positive welcome and it set a good tone for the day ahead. The day was launched to there year 8’s & 9’s 175 youngsters in total and from the start they were fully engaged and showed enthusiasm for the day ahead. They maintained this enthusiasm throughout the whole day. All the facilitators in the workshops commented on this, students interacted very well in every session and asked challenging questions in each and every workshop.

The day was organised by a team of staff at the school and this allowed the day to run smoothly and made our day a whole lot easier. The students received workshops on County Lines, Drugs, Prison Life, Street Scene, Choices and Northern Power supported the day as well. All these workshops had an impact and delivered positive messages to the year groups.

The youngsters were a credit to themselves and the school and a good day was had by all who attended. The PMNW team left the school having had a very positive day and commenting on the hospitality we had been shown throughout.
