A message from John Palmer-PMNW Ambassador
My last contribution for our newsletter was at the beginning of 2015. I have been asked if I would provide a little missive again at the beginning of 2020.
They say that time flies when you are enjoying yourself but come on, where have the last 5 years gone. It’s true because I have had a wonderful time being involved with, what for me is a huge privilege – The No Way Trust.
Most of you know me well enough and understand my passion for trying to achieve the impossible for PMNW and the young people of our country. Would you believe that in April this year I will have been involved with our great organisation for 25 years and my enthusiasm has never waned. I will then join an exalted group of people, namely our CEO Paul and his good lady Linda, Dave Jones, Malc & Doug, how good is that! Talking of which, without the incredible support of my good lady wife Carole, I could not have achieved so much over the years.
I continue to enjoy meeting our new volunteers including those that provide our fabulous “Choices & Consequences” workshop and our YAG team led by Benji Boy. I’m sure that some of them must look at me and wonder, who is this strange old man!
Finally, I would like to thank the following organisations for their belief in me and PMNW by providing a lot of funding since 2016:
- Greater Aycliffe & Middridge Area Action Partnership (AAP)
- Bishop Auckland & Shildon (BASH) AAP (I am an active member of their task group proudly representing PMNW)
- 3 Towns (Crook, Willington, Tow Law) AAP
- Spennymoor AAP
Will my passion for PMNW get less……NEVER EVER….as long as my health holds out and the good Lord spares me, I’ll be there!
