Lady Edwina Grosvenor

Lady Edwina Grosvenor has been involved with The No Way Trust for over 15 years as a generous supporter, senior management team member, campaigner, lead host and more recently as one of our illustrious Ambassadors. She is also an English philanthropist and campaigner for prison reform, founder, and a trustee of the charity The Clink, and founder of the charity One Small Thing.
The partnership between The No Way Trust and Edwina was established through her joint commitment to Prison reform and NWT’s dedication to tackling youth crime and risky behaviour. It is a personal and privileged alliance and friendship that is deeply cherished and continues to this very day.
Edwina champions numerous causes and works tirelessly to bring about positive change and is currently driving forwards the development of Hope Street across Hampshire. Hope Street is both a place and a new way of working with and for women and their children: to educate, support and sustain women, reduce the number of women who are sent to prison and provide a more effective community alternative.

Anthony Taylor
Patron Profile
Anthony Taylor is an elite Premier League referee who in February 2010 at the age of 31 officiated his first English Premier league match and continues to referee in the Premier league, emerging to become a highly acclaimed FIFA referee officiating in matches in Europe and across the globe. He also holds the distinction of becoming the first referee since 1901 to officiate in two FA Cup Finals in 2017 & 2020.
Anthony became voluntarily involved with The No Way Trust whilst still a serving Prison Officer at HMP Styal in 2009. As a volunteer he assisted in presenting the Prison life workshop. As his refereeing career and reputation grew, Anthony eventually took the decision to leave the Prison Service to focus on his refereeing career.
In his 13 years with The No Way Trust, he has contributed time as a generous volunteer, assisted with fund raising events, attended many functions and educational settings to promote our great charity’s cause, given inspirational talks to our young audiences, and participated in numerous national events and presentations.
This invaluable relationship between Anthony and The No Way Trust is one initially nurtured through both his and the charity’s links with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service. These shared values continue to this day. Anthony’s unwavering and motivational endorsement as an esteemed Patron of our charity, substantially assists in promoting the values and need of the learning services we provide and in enhancing the national status of The No Way Trust. We are and will forever be indebted for his visionary contributions.
STEPHEN HAGAN
PATRON Profile
Stephen first became involved with PMNW in 2001 when starting out on his acting career as a 16-year-old. He portrayed a young man’s first night alone in a prison cell in a film made for the Northern Ireland Prison Service branch of this charity. Entitled ’I Can Hack It’ the film supported the work of dedicated NI PMNW volunteers for several years.
In between 2001 and 2022 Stephen has gained many acting accolades starring in numerous stage productions and films in the UK and USA. He has performed in leading roles at the Royal Shakespeare Company in a trilogy of plays; The Tempest, Twelfth Night and The Comedy of Errors and starred in Sir Trevor Nunn’s production of ‘Dessert’ delivering a powerful performance as a returning war hero.
He landed the lead role in the US Hallmark film ‘A Royal Christmas’ and gained representation to broaden his sights on his professional future on both sides of the Atlantic. He starred as one of Jesus’s disciples Bartholomew in the hit film ‘RISEN’ in 2015 which reached number 2 at the US Box office followed by all three seasons of Sky One’s Lucky Man that ran from 2017 to 2019. His latest role was in the highly acclaimed ‘The Larkins’ series shown on ITV in late 2021. His popularity and versatility as an actor have seen demand for his services grow with several new projects on the horizon.
The value of Stephen’s support for PMNW has been prolonged and ingrained from the outset. Over the many years of Stephen’s involvement, he has visited numerous PMNW school events, given media interviews in helping to promote the work of PMNW, been involved in leading presentations for the charity and assisted substantially in enhancing the reputation of the charity nationally.
Following a visit to a PMNW Crime and Safety Awareness Days Stephen commented: - “PMNW does amazing work for young people around the UK. It does not preach to them and does not tell them not to do things. It just delivers facts and experiences. Most of which I did not know beforehand. Giving them the facts, they need to make the right decisions.”
Howard WEBB
Patron Profile
Howard Webb was a high-profile Premier League, FIFA & UEFA referee and is the only referee to have officiated the prestigious FIFA World Cup Final and UEFA Champions League Final in the same year (2010). During his 25-year career, he refereed more than five hundred combined matches in the English Premier League and Football League.
Following his retirement from refereeing in 2014 Howard worked as a commentator with BT Sport and was a technical director for Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL). In 2017 he joined the PRO (Professional Referee Organization in the United States and Canada) as their manager of video assistant referee operations. In 2018 he became General Manager of the (PRO) overseeing the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA & Canada. In 2023 he will be returning to English football to assume the position of Chief Refereeing Officer of PGMOL.
Howard was introduced to The No Way Trust (Prison Me No Way) whilst still a serving South Yorkshire Police Officer through one of our enthused staff members, Gerry Corns, and their shared support for Rotherham United FC. Howard’s interest in our charities work was instant, enthusiastic, and profound and an invite to a Prison Me No Way event at a school soon after, sparked an interest and partnership which has gone from strength to strength and helped to keep our young safe and avoid crime, for well over a decade.
In his time with The No Way Trust, Howard has participated at fundraising events, spoken at local and national PMNW events, visited schools with PMNW and given motivational presentations to young people and been an inspiration to everybody he has met. He always makes time for everybody and his impact on the work of our charity has been long lasting and immense.
